Kathy Austin, M.D.

Dr. Austin is currently practicing emergency medicine at the University of Missouri – Columbia. 

 

Kathy attended the University of Missouri – Columbia for her undergraduate education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.  Kathy repeatedly made the Dean’s List and graduated magna cum laude. 

She gained research experience in microbiology and immunology during her undergraduate years and was an active member of the Angel Flight/Silver Wings community service organization.  Kathy was also recognized by the University of Missouri as an Emerging Leader for commitment to leadership and service.  After joining the University of Missouri School of Medicine through the Conley Scholars Program, Kathy excelled in both the basic sciences and clinical areas.  Upon graduation she choose to continue her education here in Columbia and joined our Med/Peds training program.  She served as Chief Resident of Child Health during her senior year of residency.  Dr. Austin is now working in the Emergency Room at Columbia Regional Hospital.
