Alan Barton, D.O.
|
Dr. Barton is currently practicing
rural Med/Peds primary care in Chillicothe, MO.
Alan was raised in
Gallatin, MO, a rural farming community of less than 2,000 people.
While a high school student, Alan received the Congress/Bundestag
scholarship and was able to spend a year in Germany.

Alan studied
computer science at Washington University before moving to Kirksville,
MO, where he received a BS and BA in biology and with a minor in German. Alan stayed in Kirksville to pursue his medical training at the
School of Osteopathic Medicine there. His work experience includes time
as a manager for a hardware store and a computer technician at
Kirksville's College of Osteopathic Medicine. He volunteered through
delivery of meals to flood victims in Northwest Missouri during the
Great Flood of 1993. Due to his desire to practice rural based primary
care, Alan completed his third year clerkships in Phoenix, Arizona, and
provided care to the Navajo population. Alan joined our residency
program in 2000 and served as chief resident of internal medicine during
his senior year. Dr. Barton is currently practicing rural Med/Peds
primary care in Chillicothe, MO
