While in
medical school, he served in the Organization of Student Representatives
and the Medical School Affairs Council and actively participated in
research with the orthopedics department. Upon graduation, Reggie
joined our Med/Peds residency program in 1998.
Dr. George
was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society during his
residency and won teaching awards from both the internal medicine and
child health departments. Reggie served as a chief resident for the
departments of child health and internal medicine during his third and
fourth years of residency, respectively. He continues to be somewhat of
a legend at this institution due to his endless energy and his tendency
to choose very difficult and time-consuming electives. Reggie has
already had an extensive career in the few years that he has been
practicing, including emergency medicine credits throughout the state
and pediatric hospitalist at Children's Mercy in Kansas City – all at
the same time! Dr. George is now practicing emergency medicine as one
of our young faculty members here at the University of Missouri and
continues his hospitalist duties in Kansas City. |
