   THE WAY

Robert Lancey, M.D. (Med/Peds Program Director)

After growing up in southern California, Dr. Robert Lancey obtained his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  After a Med/Peds internship at Indiana University Medical Center, he then completed his Med/Peds residency training at the University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Dr. Lancey had a rural based practice in Moberly, MO, and served as a continuity clinic preceptor for the Med/Peds residents before coming to Columbia to become our first Med/Peds residency program director.  He is also a very active member of the Internal Medicine Hospitalist team.  Dr. Lancey continues to serve as a preceptor for the resident continuity clinic, now located at the University Physicians Building.  His interests include asthma, general internal medicine and general pediatrics, health promotion/prevention, inpatient medicine, medical ethics, pediatric poisoning, and toxicology.
