   THE WAY

Jay Moore, M.D.

Dr. Moore is currently in private practice Med/Peds primary care in Wentzville, MO.

Jay heralded from Dixon, a small town with a population of about 1,500 located in Missouri’s “Boot Heel”.  He was class valedictorian at Dixon High School before pursuing his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

After he received a BS in biology, Jay continued his education in Columbia at our school of medicine.  He served as president of his medical school class during his junior and senior years and was chair of the graduation committee.  One of Jay’s most unusual accomplishments as a medical student included singing with “DRE and the Stinky Fingers”, the MU School of Medicine garage band.  Jay joined our Med/Peds program as an integrated resident in 1999.  During his senior year, he served as chief resident of Child Health.  Jay suffered from an excessively enjoyable personality and carried the difficult burden of being liked by everyone, despite the continuation of his questionable singing career with the resident band called “Legend of the Drunken Masters”.  After graduating in 2004, Jay moved to Wentzville, MO, to practice Med/Peds primary care.
