   THE WAY

David Riddle, M.D.

Dave attained his undergraduate degrees in biology with honors and psychology at the University of Missouri, Columbia.  While an undergraduate, Dave gained experience in molecular biology laboratory studies while participating in research on maize mitochondrial genetics.  He was also a member of the Honors College and Golden Key National Honor Society.

Volunteer credits include activities with the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network and Dave was involved with the planning of the Walk for Life in order to increase AIDS awareness.  Dave continued his education in Columbia at the University of Missouri School of Medicine and was privileged to be elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in his senior year of medical school.  After graduating cum laude, Dave joined our Med/Peds residency training program in 2001.  He also has the privilege of serving as president of the House Staff Organization, chief resident of child health, and was the first Med/Peds chief resident.  There have also been several poster presentations about interesting and unusual cases added to his credit during his time as a resident.  Dave will continue his education through a combined internal medicine and pediatrics infectious disease fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis beginning in 2005.  Dave’s ceaseless striving for precision and desire to serve have been welcome contributions to the Med/Peds program.
