Rashmi Srivastava, M.D.
|
Dr. Srivastava is currently a
hospitalist in the Department of Child Health at the University of
Missouri – Columbia and mentors our residents at the University
Physicians Medical Building Med/Peds continuity clinic.
Rashmi attended the University
of Missouri - Columbia as an undergraduate and obtained a BS in
biochemistry. While a student, she gained research experience working
on the corpus luteum and additionally worked as a teaching
assistant in histology. |

Her volunteer credits include the Douglas High
School CRIB Program, in which she helped provide prenatal care, healthy
child exams, and immunizations to children in need, and assistance for
activities at the Family Health Center. She gained even more first hand
exposure to the health care field through employment as an assistant to
a pediatric nurse practitioner and as a unit clerk in our pediatric
intensive care unit. During her time as student at the University of
Missouri School of Medicine, Rashmi served as vice president of her
class. She was decorated with several awards, including the Parker B.
Francis Award for Excellence in Anesthesiology and the Medical School
Foundation Scholarship. While a medical student, Rashmi also
participated in the ACP Externship in Internal Medicine. After
completing medical school, Rashmi joined our Med/Peds program and served
as chief resident of child health during her senior year. Dr.
Srivastava joined the Department of Child Health as a pediatric
hospitalist immediately upon graduation. She also serves as a mentor
for our residents at the University Physicians Medical Building Med/Peds
continuity clinic. |
